Fishing is not glamorous and let’s use this photo as an example:
- It’s cold out on the water so you have on layers of clothing that don’t match.
- It’s rainy so you wear a hat that makes your face look fat but you don’t know your face looks fat until you get home and look at your pictures.
- You didn’t pull up your turtle neck to hide your “29 year old double chin”. You don’t know your “29 year old double chin” is showing until you get home and look at your pictures.
- Your hair didn’t look that awful from not washing it until it got wet.
- You tell your husband to slow down the boat because of white caps on the water so you don’t get wet. It’s cold, rainy and windy and he better not get you wet. Yet he insist on having to go fast to ride ontop of the waves. It wasn’t until he drove through a huge wave that he realizes you yelled for a reason. The yelling then doesn’t end.
- You caught your first crappie and you can’t be happy about it because you’re cold, wet and your husband is laughing at you.
- You’ve never touched a fish before but out of anger you grab that fish with no problem.
- Although you are sure to hold it quite aways away from your body and a little off to the side.
- You have on sunglasses to hide what should be an excited look but it is the wife look of the moment which is “if you don’t hurry up and take my picture I’m going to knock you off this pier.”
- You storm off to go change clothes, almost slip in the mud, lick your lips forgetting they taste like fish water and start mumbling all those not-so-nice fishing words you’ve learned the past few days.

All your reasons for not liking your picture is why you don’t see me. Hubby and I tried for some fish last Sunday…not successful yet.
