We have a neighbor who is the grumpy yard guy also. He’s in his 20′s and very particular about his yard. He needs that shirt. He hasn’t went so far as to keep a stray ball but I’m sure he’s thought about it. Oh and love his last comment about the neighbors “see me what?”.

I didn’t think mole season opened until September. I would have started with the Trail cams to figure out their nocturnal patterns. I’m also partial to those nasty looking spring-loaded spear-like devices that impale the moles as they move through their subterranean labyrinths.

That is one nice looking lawn, though.

So, I can sympathize with the guy, Jody. In fact, the roles were reversed recently at our ranch … I was stalking squirrels, hoping to catch them as they climbed out of the attic … in my fuzzy pj’s, camo jacket, orange ballcap and muck boots; oh, and I carried my Ruger 10-22 … isn’t this just what we outdoor hunter types like to do? Mole, squirrel, whatever patrol?
