Here in Indiana, deer hunting season doesn’t start until October 1st, 2008 but if you’re a hunter – hunting never ends. Its on the mind of a hunter, it’s around the house of a hunter, its on the tv of a hunter, its on the computer of a hunter, its on the body of a hunter. It just doesn’t go away. Even every room of my house is hunting.
- Living room – Deer mount, hunting magazines
- Computer room – Deer trophy award certificates somehow ended up on my corkboard.
- Kitchen – Some kind of bottles of something something deer stuff.
- Back bedroom – Deer hunting clothes.
- Basement – Deer hunting clothes, jackets, mounts, arrows, photos, thingymajiggers.
- Our main bedroom – With the way my hunter sleeps you’d think he was wrestling his prey. For the love of deer, we have sleeping issues.
My computer room is next to the living room and all afternoon yesterday I’ve heard nothing but hunting shows. I’ve had to ask my hunter 3 times the same question because he is so engrossed. He’s in a hypnotic deer state.
And guess what? He went squirrel hunting Saturday and guess what he brought home. Poison Oak! For the love of *&(*)(*()&.

My hubby spent all weekend looking at the new Cabelas catalog and saying “If I had money I’d buy….” Aarrrggggh!
too bad about the Poison Oak – my hubby brings that stuff home too only he isn’t the one that breaks out with it – I am!

It is getting to be that time where we just can’t help ourselves. I have been putting the wife through outdoor shows as well as 3 shoots for the last couple of weeks, and she still has a month and a half to go.
Tell your hunter to buy some Technu and wash down with that stuff when he gets home. It works great and you can even put it in with your laundry to get the oils off the clothes.
I got a bad, bad, case of poison ivy a few years back and I’ve used this stuff religiously since.
Poor Mark! He got poison oak? That’s awful.

I can understand checking out the hunting shows. Time to get focused. Work on the Buck Fever before he actually hits the field.
Hope Mark didn’t have too severe of a reaction to the Poison Oak, and things are healing well.
