My Secret Valentine

by Jody Narantic on February 12, 2010

I have a secret Valentine that sent me the cutest gift yesterday from Mrs. Beasleys gifts.

The card read:

Happy Valentines Day Jody!
When I saw these I thought of you … great deer bait! lol! :)

And that’s it. No name. No signature.  Just a secret card and these adorable Valentine’s Day cupcakes …

And I have to admit they couldn’t have come at a better time.   It’s been one of those weeks.  One of those weeks that I’ve needed chocolate and cupcakes in my life.

Before any of you ask – I know for a fact they are not from my husband Mark.  Mark is a mushy gift giver.  His card would read – To the love of my life … blah blah blah.

So it wasn’t him.  But it was one of you.  One of my readers.  Someone that knows me.  Knows I love cupcakes.  Someone that knows I say things like, “For the love of cupcakes”  or “Grow some cupcakes boys.”  And knows I would share them with a baby fawn.

I hope you come out of hiding or the woods so I can thank you properly but for now I say;

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.  You have no idea how much I needed that yesterday.  You made me smile and I am deeply touched by your kindness.

Have a wonderful day all!  And don’t forget about your sweetie this weekend!

Jody,

Sorry to hear you’re having a rough time. I wish for you smoother days ahead. We all have a bumpy ride from time to time and find a way to get through it… from what I’ve read, I know you’re not the cupcake you portray yourself to be… you’ll be fine!

Cheers!

Chuck

What a great gift. Unfortunately, I can’t take the credit, though. I hope they made the week a little better for ya, and I hope things are turning around.

I am envious, I sure could use some cupcakes. I am also happy for you and I hope you have a great valentines day.

Oh ya, it wasn’t me, LOL.

Not the guy but I can make a bumpy ride fun! February 12, 2010 at 4:53 pm

Well Jody,
I’m not your man. I’m glad that you do have someone to leave you such a great gift. If you need a bumpy ride, I think I can make that happen! I own a rafting company and you can beat our Ocoee Rafting trip. Bumpy, yes. The best time you possibly have in a raft… Yes! Can you bring your cupcakes, of course! And they looked good too!

Buttercream frosting?

Wait. If I start saying “buttercream frosting” in my blog all the time, do you think someone will send me a tub of it?

My secret Valentine confessed. It was Tonya (@Tonweather). A friend from Twitter. If you all are on Twitter be sure to follow her. She is a ton of fun.

How fun! Now I’m off to friend Tonya so that maybe it’ll be me for St Patty;s Day cupcakes! LOL!

What a fun gift – I think I’d better go make myself some cupcakes since no one sent me any :) That’s ok though… I got a new shell for my Miche bag!
