Hi! I would love to win this for myself as well. I have been fishing for many years. I still remember my first experience fishing. My boyfriend had to con me into it. So I went to Wal-Mart and bought a pole. I painted it pink with sparkles, beads, and fish stickers. I was so proud. You should have seen my b/f’s face when he saw my pole! lol Then the pole broke on my first fish (catfish

Hi Jody – I would love to win the fishing reel & rod for myself since I do not own/have one. I could use it when I go fishing at the famous Christmas Place Plantation and Hunting Club. I am a single mom of 4 children (3 girls and 1 boy). When my son was 9 mths old my husband passed away of leukemia. I made a promise to myself to instill in my son the love for the outdoors. His father and I loved hunting, fishing and camping together and had special memories even living in Alaska for four years. I am proud to say I have instilled the love of the outdoors in my son and his father would have been so proud. He is 19 now and loves to hunt, fish and camp and he is so proud of himself to be so much like his wonderful father. I would love this rod and reel just so one day I could whip it out and hear my son say “Mom, that is SO you!” making yet another fun and special memory. Reason #2 I would love to win this Rod and Reel……..it would also match my fingernail polish! lol

This is pretty darn cool! My mom would love this! She does not have a fishing pole of her own and her favorite color is pink!! With a pink fishing pole, there’s no way my dad could ever mistake her pole for his!
I have to say I’d love to win this rod. I can hear my Uncle and my Dad laughing about it now! It would be the perfect thing to take fishing when I went to my Aunt and Uncle’s place in the U.P.
Like most of your commenters, I would like this for myself. I have some “family” members who love fishing and I would just love to whip this out on a fishing trip and watch them all envy me.

I would love to win this for my 9 year old niece. She’s been fishing with her dad since she could walk. She looooves to fish. Her parents are divorced so she goes to her dads every weekend whether her siblings do or not just in case her dad might go fishing. She gets mad when she finds out he went fishing without her during the week. I think she would think this is just sooo cool.
