The Hunter’s Wife Update & Links

by Jody on August 19, 2008

I sat down this morning to write something I’ve been thinking about this past week and will have it complete tomorrow.  It’s about something I had seen on Base Camp Legends.  I decided I needed more time to complete and will have it completed tomorrow morning.

A Couple of happenings:

There’s a giveaway going on at A Frugal Housewife. Be sure to enter.

Safety – With hunting starting in many parts of the country please head over and read Kristine’s Sharing The Woods. It is so important to not only protect yourself in the woods but others as well.

If you enjoy hunting, head over to Simply Outdoors and watch Arthur’s video.

Have a good day all.

Safe hunting skills is so important to me.

A couple of years ago, I was riding a colt and suddenly pellets rained down around me. Pellets were pinging off of my metal riding arena roof.

Here, goose hunters had shot RIGHT at our barn from the field next door. My husband came unglued…. and I was glad he was there when it happened. The next few minutes were fun to watch! Needless to say, those hunters left suddenly and never returned.

Oh, and my husband is a HUNTER… LOVES, LOVES to hunt– but he has no tolerance for those who practice unsafe hunting.
